Antique Floor Lamps UK

_1000051-Copy.jpg As I said, this week, Toronto now has a festival dedicated solely to design. This was held last week and oversaw the important exhibition of interior design IDS Toronto (the equivalent of our SIDIM in Montreal), and several parallel exhibitions.dsc_9180.JPG And it is precisely these alternatives shows that made the event both interesting and entertaining. Thus, for a week, the young designers had special places to show their prototypes.dsc_9182.JPG Well, all was not necessarily very successful. Still, it is exciting to discover the creativity of these unknown designers.
My only disappointment? No Quebec designer did some of the most popular two parallel exhibitions during the festival: Come Up To My Room at the Gladstone Hotel, Queen Street West, and Radiant Dark, presented on the ground floor of a large financial institution , in downtown Toronto.
Here are some pictures of the creations - often highly conceptual - young Canadian designers to Radiant Dark event, whose theme this year was Assets & Values (assets and valuables).dsc_9185.JPG One of the characteristics of these prototypes is their ecological aspect.

What kind of fabric do I make a lampshade

I have an old lamp and the silk lampshade has fallen apart. I'm going to remove the torn fabric and recover the wire frame with new fabric.
I don't know anything about fabric. Are there any types better or worse for lampshades?
The lamp is an antique floor lamp. I have a good eye for what look I want. I need input into the actual material.
